Privacy and data handling
This page explains how Clarenyx processes information when you use the single-page audit or the Sitemap Checker.
Both tools are designed to give you quick results without storing your URLs or report data.
No data stored. See below for tool-specific details.
Overview
Clarenyx provides free tools to help you understand and improve how your website is interpreted by search engines and AI systems. This privacy page applies to the Clarenyx website and to both tools described below.
Tools covered by this policy
Single-page SEO & AI visibility audit
The main Clarenyx tool is a single-page website audit. It checks one URL at a time to help identify how a page is structured for search engines, answer engines, and AI systems. The audit runs in real time and provides immediate feedback based on the page content available at the time of the scan. No crawling. No data stored.
Sitemap Checker
The Sitemap Checker allows you to validate an existing sitemap (e.g. sitemap.xml or a sitemap index) or to scan your site (up to 50 pages) and export a sitemap file. It checks structure, URL count, and format. Submitted URLs and scan results are not stored. The Sitemap Checker has its own privacy page with tool-specific details; the principles below apply across both tools.
What data is processed
When you run the single-page audit or use the Sitemap Checker, the tools process the URL you submit and temporarily analyse content to generate the report. Limited, anonymised usage data is also collected to help improve the reliability and performance of the site.
These tools do
- Process the URL you submit to generate an audit or sitemap report
- Analyse page structure, metadata, or sitemap content during the session
- Display results in your browser
- Record anonymised usage events such as page views and tool runs
These tools do not
- Store submitted URLs or audit/sitemap results after the run completes
- Crawl your full website (audit: one page only; Sitemap Checker: limited scan on request)
- Create user profiles or track individual users
- Collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or IP addresses
- Use analytics data for advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking
Data storage and downloads
Audit and Sitemap Checker results are generated on demand and displayed in your browser. Results are not stored or retained on the server once the run is complete.
If you download a report (e.g. HTML or JSON from the audit tool, or a sitemap file from the Sitemap Checker), it is generated for your use and saved locally by you. Clarenyx does not receive or retain copies of downloaded reports.
- Scope — Audit: one URL; Sitemap Checker: one sitemap or limited site scan
- Storage — No saved audit or sitemap results
- Crawling — Audit: none; Sitemap Checker: optional limited scan only
- Tracking — Anonymised usage measurement only
Cookies and logs
Clarenyx uses limited, first-party analytics to measure basic site usage, such as page views and audit interactions. These analytics are used solely to understand how the tool is used and to improve reliability and performance.
Standard technical logs may be generated by the hosting platform for security and operational purposes. These logs are not used for profiling, advertising, or cross-site tracking.
Third-party services
Clarenyx uses Google Analytics solely to measure anonymised usage of the site. Audit URLs and audit results are not sent to third-party analytics or advertising platforms.
If you follow links to external websites, those sites operate independently and their own privacy policies will apply.
